Let me keep it simple, short and sweet. Here are the screen-shots of the blog stats from BlogCatalog, for two of my blogs:

You can clearly see that the total views and total hits for Inspirit Blog are a way less than for techXtreme, but still it ranks far higher than it. In fact, for the same increase in the number of views and number of hits for each blog, the Blog Rank of a self-hosted blog rises faster than a blog hosted on Blogger Dot Comm or WordPress Dot Comm.
This is the simplest and just one of the many reasons that a self-hosted blog is better. Time to make a move, for those who haven’t already did so.

Interesting. I am currently doing a test with two new blogs, one on wordpress, the other on blogger. Be interested to see how the two compare.
