Scott R. Sheaffer, CSE, ATM, requested a free blog review for his sales tips blog – Sales Vitamins. Scott is a contributing writer for other books, sales blogs and publications and has worked in sales, sales management and sales training for over 20 years in companies ranging from small enterprises to Fortune 500 companies.

If you’re looking for a blend of good design to go with good content – this is the blog to look at. There is no clutter in the sidebars but it does not miss out any of the essential features like the subscription options (via RSS and via Email), tags, categories and archives. The blog can also be viewed using a mobile device as the site is also available in a optimized-for-mobile-devices version.

And if you need some effective sales tips to boost your off-line or online affiliate business – you must read Sales Vitamins. Scott has exclusive tips to offer for sales representatives and sales managers. There are also posts that share sales tools and resources. If you wish to, you can do reciprocal link exchange with Sales Vitamins.

I was reading this post Are you killing your customers with a shotgun? and must say I love his comprehensive style of writing. The way he puts his idea forward through points is the way I like to read posts.

Overall, Sales Vitamins is a very good blog if you’re looking for some commendable sales tips and dons a sporty outlook with its dark 3 column theme. But one important thing that he’s missing is using social networks to market his blog. I don’t know if he’s using BlogCatalog or MyBlogLog but I don’t see the widgets. In a way, having those widgets is an indicator of the activity on your blog in case you don’t have a good page rank or Alexa rank. It is worth all the extra traffic and subscribers you get through these networks. Social networking is the essence of sales, sales marketing and affiliate business. Scott, I highly recommend that you use these services to build a solid readership base for your blog. Your blog looks good, it has good content so you should exploit every opportunity that you get to market Sales Vitamins.

  2. The contrast of colors in your blog is outstanding (white against black.) The content is set as the focal point once you open the blog, which is cool.

  3. I agree. I believe that the social networking sites are an excellent place for marketing, and probably a good place for starting. The dark colored theme is also quite eye catching.

  4. I love the way the W stands away from the background, it looks like its floating and really gives it depth.
